JACKSON COUNTY FAIR - THE STAMPS (2012 Unofficial Music Video) As I reflect on my unimaginable time in Ashland, Oregon (2002-2022), I'm filled with immense gratitude for the incredible experiences that shaped my life. One of the most unexpected and rewarding chapters was my journey as a local musician. At 40, I taught myself to play drums in San Francisco, never imagining that this new skill would lead me to perform with talented musicians in Ashland. I was fortunate to be part of two notable bands: The Stamps, led by singer-songwriter Robbie Lindauer, and Naked in Public, fronted by Doug Fergus. A highlight of my time with Naked in Public was opening for the legendary Cyndi Lauper at the Britt Festival in Jacksonville, Oregon.
Beyond these notable experiences, I had the privilege of supporting various Ashland musicians, contributing to the town's vibrant music scene. My time in Ashland was also marked by unforgettable adventures, including two transformative trips to Burning Man. As I look back, I realize that moving to Ashland was a pivotal decision that expanded my world, fostered lifelong friendships, and opened my heart. I'm deeply grateful for the opportunities, experiences, and relationships that have forever changed me. I created this super fun to make music video for The Stamps back in 2012, but it was never released to the public and soon after completely disappeared from my files until I recently found it buried in Dropbox in an old shared folder. I did a quick refresh on the edit and now am happy to share it with you. Most everyone in this video is a friend of mine from my beloved Ashland community. Enjoy!
